Adani Gangavaram Port inaugurates `40-cr projects to boost productivity

Visakhapatnam Adani Gangavaram Port, one of the deepest and the most modern ports in the country on Monday inaugurated key strategic infrastructure projects to build its existing capacity and productivity.
The projects are built with an investment of Rs40 croresand are aimed at enhancing the port's productivity and businesses in an efficient manner. The new facilities will include a warehouse of 6,000 sq meters with capacity of 35,000 MTs bringing the port’s covered storage area to 1.4 lakh sq meters, roads and associated infrastructure of three km to connect the surface transportation more efficiently and two gate complexes with integrated weigh bridges and tarpaulin covering stations in addition to fuel handling station, car and truck tire washing facilities with integrated water capture and recycling capabilities.
Adani Gangavaram Port stated in a release that it is committed to delivery best-in-class services through the best infrastructure. The port management also plans to operationalise railway infrastructure enhancement in the coming month that bolsters the port’s capability to handle higher rail cargo in a day.
Speaking on the occasion, Adani Gangavaram Port Limited management said in line with Adani Group's philosophy of growth with goodness, they have developed resources and infrastructure to increase the safety, sustainability and environment conservation and contribute to nation building.
